I just decided to play the game after a couple years. Whether or not release notes are "necessary or required", wouldn't it just be common courtesy? The tone of Jacks response here reminds me of RAWA's attitude, and the reason i stopped playing URU a few years back. It would be nice if the game could just be called finished at some point instead of all the constant tweaking and 500Mb updates. An unexplained update appears - that breaks some people's games and makes everyone have to update when they may have logged in to do something else - and you can't even be bothered to post a one line post just explaining why we have to spend 10 minutes updating something for no readily apparent reason.
Since the updates contained only new content access and adjustments to make that transition smoother, no release notes were necessary or required.
